Published 10 years ago, this baby is the first book-length treatment of one of the most durable and influential movements in American popular music history. Co-authored with David Mills and Larry Alexander, with input from Aris Wilson, this humble little paperback is now hopelessy out-of-print. Even after some pretty incredible editing and remixing of a monstrous amount of material, I think we all had the feeling that there was still more P-Funk in the corner of the bag. Maybe we'll get a chance to reprint an expanded edition.
